Ingredients

1 medium red onion, diced

¼ yellow bell pepper, diced

¼ red bell pepper, diced

½ jalapeño- seeds removed & diced (optional)

2 Tbsp minced garlic
-
2 pounds ground turkey
-
1 cup dark beer (optional) or chicken broth
-
2 Tbsp Big L’s Blends Adobo
-
1 Tbsp Big L’s Blends Al Pastor
-
2 Tbsp Big L’s Blends Taco Everyday
-
2 Tbsp tomato paste
-
2 (15 oz) Cans Red Kidney Beans, drained
-
2 (15 oz) Cans Chili Beans in chili sauce
-
1 (15 oz) Can Black Beans, drained
-
2 (32 oz) cartons of chicken broth or stock
-
2 Tbsp Salsa Picanté Hot Sauce
-
Sour Cream
-
Cheddar Cheese
-
Green Onions, chopped
Directions
Add 2 Tbsp oil to large dutch oven or large pot over medium heat
Add onions, bell pepper & jalapeño. Cook until onions become translucent (about 8 minutes)
Add garlic & cook for 3-5 minutes.
Add ground turkey and cook until browned (8-10 minutes)
Add Big L’s Blends Adobo, Taco Everyday, & Al Pastor Seasonings. Mix well to combine.
Add tomato paste. Mix well to combine.
Add kidney, chili & black beans. Stir well to combine.
Add both cartons of chicken stock
Add beer (optional)
Stir in Big L’s Blends Salsa Picanté sauce
Add salt to taste
Put the top on your pot and allow the chili to simmer for 60-90 minutes over medium heat.
Remove the top for the last 30 minutes to allow the chili to thicken
Garnish with chili + lime crema (recipe below), cheddar cheese & green onions.
